"The Earthlings"
These recycled bead earrings pretty much sum up every one of my childhood summers in Northern California;
There was always the almost orange sunlight light trickling down through the Redwoods, the clear waters of the South Fork Eel River flowing fast over dark grey-blue stones.
How lucky I was to spend my days plopping into deep river pools from rope swings, watching fish scurry from beneath my feet, building forts on the banks, and eating fresh berries.... all with family!
I usually try to incorporate humor in Greenbling blogging but apparently I'm just too sentimental today. If I really think about it, I guess my 80's bathing suites were pretty funny - along with my insanely thick and usually sap-matted bangs. But didn't care - ah, the freedom of those days!
